Environmental activists often paint a picture of the oil and gas industry in Colorado as an unregulated Wild West, where there are no rules and no consequences.
That image couldn’t be further from the truth.
Since 2010, the state has created some of the most rigorous rules in the country that govern what we do and how we do it. But that constant state of rule-making also has led to a constant state of uncertainty, as every year brings with it a new set of rules and regulations.
